Jingle Bells with a twist!

All the staff at Endike joined in with a festive sing-a-long, with additional verses, to create a festive Endike energy!

Endike Male Voice Choir Christmas Performance

Today we were treated to only the 2nd public performance of the Endike Male Voice Choir. They performed 'Silent Night' to us in our Christmas assembly.

Christmas has well and truly arrived at Endike today, as we took part in Christmas Jumper Day raising money for Cash for Kids (a local childrens charity). We also has a wonderful Christmas performance by the choir and then held our first ever intra-house sing off!

Hull Schools Festival of Carols

Our choir were at City Hall all day today for the annual Hull Schools Festival of Carols final rehearsals and all back there again in the evening for the concert itself. 

Endike Choir pupils performed our magnificent Giant Puppet Nativity to a packed (sell-out) house, musically backed by a choir of nearly 200 children from Endike and many other Hull primaries. Great job, choir! You were all stars and everyone loved it! 

Big thanks to Laurence Rugg for running this year on year, and of course to Mrs Mincke for all her help with the choir and puppets. Also thanks due to Scrapstore Hull and the children in our Year 3 and 4 (now 4 and 5) who made the puppets right back in June! 

The songs in the nativity were all by local composers: me, Laurence Rugg, Jan Holdstock (who sadly died earlier this year) and Caroline King of Spring Cottage Primary, who also was the pianist and whose super choir pupils provided the sung the narrative links between the main songs. Mark Keith was on the organ. A great team effort for our City of Culture year. Long may this event continue!

Whole School Newsletter 9.11.17

Attendance Champions for Autumn 1 revealed...

A huge WELL DONE to 3F for having the highest attendance for Autumn Term 1. With a whole class attendance of 98.1%, they were well above the whole school target of 96%.

House Champions for Autumn 1 revealed...

Well done to the Blue Ambassadors house group who were awarded the House Champions trophy today!

DRET Pride in Reading Book Review Competition

DRET are inviting pupils from across the trust to submit fabulous book reviews for the chance to win some incredible prizes. They are looking for imaginative book reviews based on the recommended reading lists for the children’s year group.
Each school will choose one book review from each key stage to put forward for the competition, so we ask that you reviews are in by Monday 20th November.
